About Interface Properties…
Ken Goodman, Principal, began his real estate career as a broker with CB Richard Ellis and started developing retail shopping centers in 1983. He founded Interface Properties in 1990 and since that time, has been involved with the development of over 8,000,000 square feet of shopping centers in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, New Jersey, Colorado, Nevada, Maryland, Texas, Wisconsin and Ohio.
Interface Properties has a diversified tenant development roster which includes Wal-Mart, Office Depot, Best Buy, Michael’s, Linens n Things, PetsMart, Petco, Thomasville Furniture, Drexel Heritage Furniture, Costco Wholesale, Home Depot, Hilton Homewood Suites, Comp USA, Just For Feet, Tweeter, Sound Advice, Starbucks, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Stage Stores, Fedex/Kinkos, Sprint, Verizon, Vitamin Shoppe, Olive Garden, Sonic, Cracker Barrel, Muvico Theatres, Gateway Computers, Fidelity Investments, and Panera Bread. Additionally, from 1994 thru 1996, Interface Properties was involved with the development and brokerage of over 40 Office Depot stores throughout Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Seattle, Wisconsin and California.
The Shoppes at Paradise Isle in Destin, Florida, was completed in early 2006, and is a good example of a recent development. This 172,000 square foot power center features Best Buy, Linens ‘n Things, Office Depot, PetsMart and Michael’s. The project was purchased in March, 2006 by Weingarten Realty Investors for 41 million dollars.
Interface Properties currently has development projects in Denver, CO, Raleigh, NC, Wake Forest, NC, Southern Pines, NC, Denham Springs, LA, Cary, NC, Statesboro, GA, Chattanooga, TN, High Point, NC, Boynton Beach, FL, Greenville, SC, Stuart, FL and Paris, TX.
Ken Goodman has a select group of top producing retail development partners in strategic major markets which include Phoenix, AZ, Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, Columbia, SC and Boca Raton, FL. The partners were officers and/or national directors of real estate for publicly held companies including Weingarten Realty Investors, Petco Pet Supplies and Office Depot.
